Our Mortgage Charges

During your initial consultation we will discuss how we will be remunerated if you decide that you want to proceed with 1st Financial Group Limited. If you decide that you do not wish to use the services of 1st Financial Group Limited, no fees will be incurred.

There are two ways in which we can be remunerated :

• No fee (we will be paid by commission from the lender)
• A fee of 1% of the mortgage loan payable upon completion. (We will refund any commission received from the lender to you. Therefore, should you take out a mortgage loan for £100,000 our fee will be £1,000 (with any commission received from the lender being refunded to you).

Our common practice is not to charge a fee and receive commission from a lender. However, both remuneration options will be discussed and offered to you.

A 'mortgage' is a loan secured against your home. 'Secured' means that if you do not keep up the payments, the lender can sell your home to get its money back. Remember: Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage. 1st Financial Group Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (www.fsa.gov.uk/register).
