Glyn Cooper
Glyn began his career in financial services in the mid 1980's working for Britannic Assurance. He spent 3 years as a sales representative before being promoted to a life inspector covering the west of England and the Channel Islands. He was further promoted to a divisional sales consultant in the 1990's covering the same area. He is also a founder member of 1st Financial Group Ltd. Outside of work Glyn’s interests are travel and cricket.
Philip Higginson
Phil worked for Norwich Union, Midland Bank and Hill House Hammond before joining Britannic Assurance in the 1990’s. After a successful career there, Phil set up 1st Financial Group Ltd with Glyn and Mark in 2001. Outside of work Phil enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 daughters and playing cricket in the summer months.
Mark Weymouth
Mark joined the industry in 1988 working for Reliance Mutual, a company specializing in buildings & contents cover. This lead to a long term successful career with Britannic Assurance spanning 13 years. In February 2001 Mark started 1st Financial Group Ltd. Interests include football, reading, cinema, keep fit and spending time with his wife and 3 children.
Lee Cooper
Upon leaving Durham University in 1999 Lee began his financial services career with HSBC bank where he gained valuable experience as a financial planning manager. His next role was working as a mortgage advisor for 1st Financial Group Ltd, where subsequently he was made a director in July 2005. Lee’s interests are predominately sporting ones, having represented various England cricket teams at a youth team level.
David Higginson
David graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2003 with a degree in Environmental Management. Having completed 6 months training at 1st Financial Group Ltd he continued his apprenticeship as a Mortgage Broker within a national estate agency. Having worked there for 18 months he was then offered the chance to return to 1st Financial Group Ltd in April 2006. He now combines 2 roles writing business and managing the expanding sales force. David enjoys playing and watching cricket, golf, travelling and spending time with his girlfriend Vicki, family and friends.
